Dr. Qiang Liu obtained his bachelor degree (2007) and Ph.D. degree (2012) from Wuhan University, followed by a post-doctorial research stay at Leibniz Institute of Catalysis, Germany (2012-2015). He joined the faculty of Tsinghua University since 2015. His honors and awards include: qualified in a global competition worldwide to participate the 60th Lindau Nobel Laureates Meeting (2010), Alexander von Humboldt fellowship (2012), Selected by the “1000 Young Talent Plan” (2015), NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund (2018), Annual Teaching Excellent Award of Tsinghua University (2021), NSFC Distinguished Young Scientists Fund (2022).
The research interests of Q. Liu’s group mainly focus on the structure, reactivity and catalytic properties of earth-abundant metal hydrides and their application for green synthesis, biomass conversion and chemical hydrogen storage.
